Originally created to serve at a men's soccer match between the USA and Bolivian National teams, this Meatball starts with an Argentinian Chorizo. This sausage is not spicy, rather is infused with Garlic and Black Pepper. It is a popular street food in Bolivia. We add sweet red onion and peppers, beef, bacon and more garlic and black pepper. Rolled in seasoned bread crumbs, its flash fried and topped with our Sweet Mustard.
Sometimes, happy accidents create magic. During one lunch, we mistakenly put our 2000 Island Sauce on a Bolivian Meatball Sub, rather than the Sweet Mustard. It was so good, we had to put it on the menu.
Suggested by a customer, coming up with a Rueben Meatball proved to be a challenge...but it was worth the effort. We start this with our own Corned Beef. Brisket takes a 7 day soak in a spiced brine mix. We then boil the Corned Beef, grind it along with Round Steak, and add all the goodies on a Rueben Sandwich.....sauerkraut, pickle relish, swiss cheese, caraway seeds and rye bread crumbs. We roll in more rye bread crumbs, flash fry and top with our 2000 Island Sauce. Its twice as good as Thousand Island Dressing!
This Meatball has been described as 'Fall on a Bun'. It's based on a dish Dad used to love. We start with our Beer Bratwurst, add Pork Loin, diced apples, sauerkraut, and a Bavarian spice blend. We roll in marbled rye bread crumbs, flash fry and top with our Maple Mustard Apple Sauce. This Meatball can also be made in a steamed version.
We joke that this Meatball is made from Kangaroo, Koala and Wobbegong. Its really Beef and Pork. Its a fusion of Asian and Italian flavors.....Ginger, Curry, Oregano and Basil. Its rolled in seasoned bread crumbs, flash fried and topped with our Iced Coffee Sauce. This savory sauce is simply outstanding. Coffee is one of literally 15 different ingredients. This Meatball can also be made in a steamed version.
This seasonal Meatball is our take on Crab Cakes. Shrimp, Clams, White Fish and the aforementioned Crab are combined with a light seafood seasoning, rolled in our Fish Coating, flash fried and topped with Lemon Yogurt Sauce.
Our last Top Ten Meatball isn't meat at all. Its a base of Sweet Potato and Chick Pea, and was created to serve at a customers wedding rehearsal dinner. Heavy on sweet curry, its also features Feta Cheese, garlic and cinnamon. Rolled in pita chip crumbs, its flash fried and topped with Tahini Yogurt.
